We’re discussing the written state exam today guys. Just some of my experience and a few tips to help out. Good luck.
The USMLEs are very daunting, very tasking exams that require quite a bit of studying and preparation, especially for us as IMGs. Today, I’m sharing an interview with a friend who took her step 1 and passed 5 short months after graduation. We’re talking study process, schedules, resources and more in this post. Check it out!
I took a mock OSCE as part of a trial programme organised by the university and I’m here to spill the deets on what happened. This was an interesting opportunity, not just because of the new experience, but also because this may shape how testing is done at the medical university in the near-future, so I encourage present and future students to familiarise themselves with it as soon as possible. Find out more!
Life after medical school has been a rollercoaster. With graduation behind me, I faced an immediate challenge: navigating Hungary’s immigration system with only a 3-month job-seeking permit while studying for US medical exams. I’ll be talking about it today.
Today, I’m excited to feature Tobias Evason Fredriksen, a 5th-year student in the General Medicine English program and a recipient of the Outstanding Student of the Year award. His journey is one of determination and passion, offering valuable insights for all of us.
While we often look to professors and researchers for guidance, there’s so much we can learn from those beside us—our fellow students. Tobias shares how his hard work, resilience, and commitment to learning have shaped his success. From navigating challenging exams to finding balance in medical school, his story serves as a powerful reminder that success isn’t about shortcuts, but dedication.
Stay tuned for his full interview, where he talks about his experiences, tips for success, and future goals.
The Peer Programme at the University is a valuable resource for students, offering support in study tips, social life balance, bureaucracy for international students, and mental health. Students are encouraged to apply to be peers to support fellow lower-year students.
On today’s post, we are discussing EGSC as an extracurricular. EGSC is the student representative body in ÁOK for the English and German programs. We will be discussing the function of EGSC, available posts, application process, pros and cons.
Some of you might be fishing around for some extracurricular activities to join and enrich your student experience against the next academic year. In this post, we are gonna be talking about the Unibuddies who act as student ambassadors for the university. If you are interested in working as a Unibuddy, keep your eyes open for the call for applications coming in September.
Hi 6th years,
As promised, here’s a sample of my case reports for the Internal Medicine rotation. To confirm you will be needing only 8 reports. You can find a sample of my reports and a downloadable template here. The case reports were rarely discussed during exams, but they were used to select topics occasionally. The Internal Medicine exam itself can be nerve-wracking due to the volume of details, but with hard work and confidence, you can succeed. Good luck!
