Rotational Year: Internal Medicine, the Case Reports and Exam experience.

Hi 6th years,
As promised, here’s a sample of my case reports for the Internal Medicine rotation. To confirm you will be needing only 8 reports. You can find a sample of my reports and a downloadable template here. The case reports were rarely discussed during exams, but they were used to select topics occasionally. The Internal Medicine exam itself can be nerve-wracking due to the volume of details, but with hard work and confidence, you can succeed. Good luck!

Rotational Year: Psychiatry, the Case Reports

Congrats on completing your third week of rotations! For those finishing Psychiatry, I’ve uploaded sample forms to guide you. Templates are on the psychiatry department’s webpage under “Download” >> “Gradual.” Forms weren’t needed for the exam, just the case presentation. Good luck, and stay tuned for internal medicine forms.

US Residency Pathway: ECFMG Certification

Hello dear PTE students!
Embarking on residency in the US requires initiation into the ECFMG registration and certification process. Upon completion, you’ll acquire an ECFMG identification number and submit your Certification of Identification Form. Visit the ECFMG Interactive Web Application’s website to begin. Follow instructions diligently, confirming your non-submission status for ECFMG Certification. After submitting, await an email confirming receipt and providing details for notarizing your Certification of Identification Form (Form 186). Pay the $160 certification fee, then notarize via NotaryCam. Ensure proper identification and professionalism during the notarization process. Expect an email confirmation of certification completion within 7-10 business days, rendering you eligible for the USMLE exams.

My Thesis Experience

I successfully defended my thesis on Investigating the Symptoms and Risks of the Female Athlete Triad Among University Students at the Sports Medicine center. My journey involved changing supervisors, conducting a survey study, and using email consultations. The defense went well, with a concise presentation and positive feedback from the committee. If you need tips or have questions, feel free to ask!
